People go to the internet for answers to things like financial issues, cures for illnesses, advise, help, jobs and business. You can network online through these mini sites, message forums, groups, and blogs. Social Networking sites like MySpace, Facebook, Squidoo, Ning, etc. are popping up all over the internet. If you're not using these as a way to meet people online, I hope this article will change your mind. A message forum is like a water color of the internet where you give advise, meet people, and make friends. Some questions you want to answer before you start a social networking site online. - What is your goal out on the internet?
- Who is your target market?
- How will you add value out on the internet
- How will you develop an action plan within each site and target market and be consistent?
Before you start social networking you'll want to put up a personal website. This is a website that sells YOU first. It can be a website about Network Marketing, a hobby, or something you know a lot about that you can write lots of good content that people will stay and read .
What Is Your Goal Out On The Internet?Your goal is to create relationships. Yes, you can create relationships online. You do it the same way you would offline. Build the relationship first, then the relationship will build a partnership. People buy YOU first. Not your company, business or products. They buy from an emotional viewpoint. So, help them get to know you, like you and trust you before you introduce them to your business or products. Think of social networking as a party. Picture yourself walking into a party with the intention of meeting lots of new people. The way you handle people is always the same. You wouldn't walk into a party and announce your business to everyone in the room. The same rules apply to networking sites. Remember it's a huge turn off if someone tells you to look at their business without creating a relationship first. They need to know you, like you and trust you before they see your business or products. Be interested in other people. How? By asking questions about them and their life. Be a friend first. Create a profile about you. This is your mini piece of real estate. Put a picture on your profile. People want to see you having fun, working, spending time with your family. Make your profile broad, more than just about your business. Make it keyword rich. Talk about yourself, your children, your hobbies and include a link to your personal website they can click on for more information. When your done with your profile, copy it in a word document so you can use it for other social sites and you will be able to put up a profile with just a few clicks of copy and paste.
Who Is Your Target Market?Seek out people who share a common interest. For example, if you like gardening, find people in gardening groups, forums or blogs that love what you do. You also want to make contacts with people in other Network Marketing companies as well. Yes, they are involved with a company already, but you never know they might be unhappy and looking for a new sponsor, company or system and will follow you. Don't click on someone's profile and blast your business or products. No one likes that. Find people who are looking for help or advise and give them some. 70-80% of people on the net are called 'lurkers' . They are just clicking and reading people's profiles, blogs, forums and such but not writing anything themselves. Most often these 'lurkers' will build with you.
Adding Value Out On The NetAlways remember that you want to add value to each friendship, community and forum. Share personal stores, help people solves problems and post information about things you read, know a lot about and love. - Don't think about what's in it for you.
- Gain people's trust.
- Be honest and ethical and have integrity.
